Percussion...

Some time ago I had to take the plunge and sell my old Pearl Export Pro Drumkit after living under the stairs too long... (the drums not me!). In order to join in with some folky sessions in pubs, I took up the Bodhran and fairly soon after found myself sitting atop a Cajon gigging & touring as a percussionist with The Captains Beard, Brighton Ceilidh Collective and various other folky get ups! These days I’m a drummer/percussionist for hire having recently invested in a Loota percussion set - a great bit of kit when mic’d up… giving the ‘feel’ of a drum kit (in combination with the Bodhran) ideal for ceilidhs and small folky/funky ensembles! Compact enough to fit in a small car or even 'man-handle' on the bus/tubes & trains!
